International Nurses Day Celebration – 12 May 2025
International Nurses Day is celebrated annually on May 12th to commemorate the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale and recognise the vital contributions of nurses worldwide. The day is organised by the International Council of Nurses. The purpose of the day is to honour nurses’ dedication, hard work, and impact on patient health and to highlight the crucial role of nurses in healthcare systems and society, especially during times of crisis. We hosted a celebration at Dickens Café, providing an array of refreshments and sweet treats for our nurses to enjoy. Our residents Rose, Emily and Colin took this opportunity to express gratitude on behalf of all at PWH for everything our nurses do. Thank you, Nurses!
