On 29th June 2026, a group of dedicated staff from Pickwick at Priscilla Wakefield House travelled to Cardiff to attend the funeral of a much-loved former resident, paying their final respects and celebrating a life that touched so many.
This thoughtful gesture reflected the deep bonds that are formed between our staff and residents. Caring extends far beyond providing day-to-day support it is about building meaningful relationships, showing compassion, and being there for one another through every stage of life’s journey.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the members of the Pickwick team who made the journey to honour our former resident. Their kindness, respect, and willingness to represent Priscilla Wakefield House at such an important occasion exemplify the values of dignity, compassion, and person-centred care that we strive to uphold every day.
Their presence provided comfort to the resident’s family and served as a touching reminder that the friendships and connections made within our home continue to be treasured long after residents leave our care.
