International Mother Language Day – 21 February 2024
We gathered at Dickens Café to celebrate International Mother Language Day. Residents and staff proudly sang their national anthem. Our resident Emily began accompanied by Eleri, Senior Wellbeing coordinator with the Welsh National Anthem. Pearl, receptionist sang the South African National Anthem, Jennifer Head Housekeeper, Ugandan, Burchin, wellbeing coordinator, Bulgarian and Megha, wellbeing coordinator, Indian. There was lots of chat as everyone shared a little of their culture. Thank you to our catering team who provided a tempting array of bitesize foods from around the world.
