Viva la Fiesta! – Mexican Night Brings Joy and Flavour to Our Care Home
Residents and staff alike were treated to a vibrant evening of culture, colour, and community during our much-anticipated Mexican Night on 30th September! The event was a lively celebration of Mexican traditions, complete with delicious food, festive music, and lots of smiles.
The dining area was transformed with bright decorations, think sombreros, and colourful table decorations, creating an atmosphere that transported everyone straight to the heart of Mexico.
Our talented kitchen team prepared a mouthwatering menu featuring Mexican favourites such as nachos with guacamole, salsa and sour cream & chive dip, Chill con carne with steamed rice, chicken quesadillas and churros with sugar and cinnamon dust for dessert. Residents enjoyed tasting new flavours and reminiscing about past travels.
Adding to the excitement, traditional Mexican festive music played in the background, encouraging a few toe taps and even a dance or two! Some residents joined in by wearing sombreros, truly embracing the spirit of the evening.
Mexican Night was more than just a themed dinner—it was an opportunity to celebrate cultural diversity, try something new, and create meaningful moments. Thank you to everyone who helped make the night a fiesta to remember!
