Freya z. s. is a Czech based non-profit organization dedicated to systematically integrating work with sexuality into social, healthcare, and educational facilities. They focus on educating social care professionals and caregivers on the relationships and sexual experiences of their clients or loved ones.

A group of nine people (4 from Freya and 5 managers and direct care staff from Czech long term care facilities for older people participating in the project) visited on 20 March 2025. The network learning project aims to create a safe and supportive care environment for older people in terms of their sexuality and intimate relationships. During the study visit to London the aim was to exchange expertise and promote international best practice with organizations working on the topic.

The group sat in on a Sex, Intimacy & Relationships training session using the “Lift the Lid” resource developed by the Alzheimer’s Society delivered by Devrol, training facilitator.

As a result of the visit, we received an offer of training to upskill the Champions in our setting.
