St. George’s Day Celebration – 23 April 2025
On Tuesday, April 23rd, residents and staff at PWH came together to celebrate St. George’s Day, honouring the patron saint of England with a day full of fun, food, and national pride. The home was beautifully decorated in red and white, with St. George’s flags adorning the lounge. The celebration began with a lively St. George’s Day quiz, where residents tested their knowledge of English history, folklore, and traditions, followed by a singalong and dancing. Flags were waved, voices were raised, and smiles were everywhere. The day wrapped up with tea and scones, and many residents commented on how much they enjoyed celebrating English culture and history in such a festive and inclusive way.
