Shopping at B&Q for Gardening Club – 07 October 2024
Our Gardening Club visited B&Q to pick up a variety of spring bulbs for a “bulb lasagne” layering project, preparing our garden for a beautiful winter and spring display. Residents carefully selected hyacinths, daffodils, irises, crocuses, snowdrops, alliums, and winter flowers like pansies, primroses, and cyclamen. They enjoyed discussing planting techniques and envisioning how each layer would bloom in succession, bringing continuous colour to our garden. This activity not only encouraged creativity and planning but also gave residents something to look forward to, nurturing a sense of excitement and connection to nature as they prepare for winter gardening together.
