There are now Sensory Cases and Pampering Purses available on each unit. The Sensory Cases or (red spotty bags!) contain an array of resources to stimulate the senses. Contents will vary according to the unit. Items may include massagers, fragrant hand wash & lotion, light projector and a range of herbs to stimulate the sense of smell.

The pampering purses have everything needed to deliver a manicure including a choice of nail polish.

The resources are available to all staff and visitors to engage our residents in Sensory Stimulation & Pampering and enhance wellbeing. In addition to direct benefit to the resident this activity helps to strengthen bonds, create connections and reduce isolation.
