Nutrition & Hydration Week 2018
Between 12th and 18th of March which was Nutrition & Hydration Week, Priscilla Wakefield House engaged residents, staff and visitors in activities and events highlighting the importance of good nutrition and hydration as an important part of quality care. We also focused on the social element of food and dining and the pleasure which this provides.
During the week there was a table with a mouth-watering array of fresh fruits, jellies, yogurts and a choice of hot or cold drinks freely available for our residents, staff and visitors at reception.
Our residents had the opportunity to sample a selection of food from different cultures throughout the week. We took this opportunity to make the most of our new café where we hosted a morning sampling smoothies and a World Afternoon Tea.
Our residents also enjoyed cheese tasting with exotic drinks and a variety of fruits in the communal lounges.
Everyone had a lot of fun taking part in our Juice Pong Tournament. Our champion was Grace from Havisham & Pickwick.
We had a great week eating, drinking and socialising!
