Insights from The King’s Fund’s “Sorting Out Social Care” Event -02 June 2026
Our Care Home Registered Manager, Sue-Ann Nnamani, recently attended The King’s Fund’s Sorting Out Social Care event, which brought together leaders and professionals from across the care sector to discuss the future of adult social care.
The event focused on some of the biggest challenges and opportunities facing the sector today. Discussions explored what is currently working well, where improvements are needed, and how organisations can work together to create a stronger and more sustainable care system.
Key topics included the potential impact of a Fair Pay Agreement on the social care workforce, the importance of building a sustainable provider market, and how to ensure people receiving care have greater choice, control, and independence in their daily lives.
The event also provided an excellent opportunity to connect with industry experts, share experiences, and gain valuable insights into the future direction of social care.
Reflecting on the day, our Managing Director said:
It was encouraging to hear so many constructive discussions focused on improving outcomes for both care professionals and the people they support. The event reinforced the importance of collaboration, innovation, and keeping person-centred care at the heart of everything we do.
At Priscilla Wakefield House, we remain committed to learning, evolving, and contributing to positive change across the care sector as we continue delivering high-quality support to the communities we serve.
