Haringey’s First Age Well Festival – 21 September 2024
As active members of our local community we were excited to attend Haringey’s first Age Well Festival which took place at Bruce Castle Park and Museum on Saturday 21 September 2024, in partnership with Haringey Council, Public Voice, Haringey Reach and Connect and creative and voluntary sector organisations across the borough. The day explored what it means to age-well with a packed programme of live music, dance, craft, conversation, games, physical activities, wellbeing sessions and more, all delivered by local statutory, creative, voluntary and community organisations.
We received a fantastic welcome from the Oldalone UK volunteers in the Guest Zone, many thanks for making us feel special! We participated in the exercise session in the wellbeing zone and the drumming workshop, delivered by the Wi Deh Yah Drummers along with dance. It was a truly joyful day, and we are grateful to be part of this vibrant community! Congratulations to all who contributed on making this day a huge success!
