Friendship Day Celebration – 30 July 2024

World Friendship Day, also known as International Day of Friendship, takes place on 30th July. The first World Friendship Day was proposed for 30 July 1958 by the World Friendship Crusade, an international civil organisation that campaigns to foster a culture of peace through friendship. Many years later, in 2011, the 30th of July was declared as the International Day of Friendship by the General Assembly of United Nations. We celebrated Friendship Day in the courtyard, we took this opportunity to play games to get to know one another better and build and maintain friendships within the home. This was the perfect opportunity to distribute friendship bracelets made by pupils from Earlsmead Primary School. Everyone was delighted to receive the gifts and modelled them proudly. Family members joining their loved ones made the occasion all the more special. THANK YOU to the pupils from Earlsmead School who made the beautiful friendship bracelets.
