Farewell to NCL Training Hub – 8 November 2024
We hosted a farewell afternoon tea for Louise Keane, Nurse Education Lead & Social care Advisory council lead for NCL ICB, Adult social care, North Central London training Hub and Team. We wanted to show our gratitude for all the amazing work the team have done over the past four years.
Unfortunately, at the end of October, the Adult Social Care Clinical Education programme, run by the Nurse Educator team, hosted by the North Central London Training Hub, closed.
The programme was set up in 2020 to support a collaborative approach to the delivery of an education programme for care providers across NCL.
It was enabled by a series of non-recurrent funding streams from NHSE, however, despite best efforts, in a difficult financial climate, the funding required to continue was not secured.
From 1 November 2024 support for the following services within the adult social care clinical educator programme will be discontinued:
The Health & Wellbeing bus won the Nursing in Social Care category of the Nursing Times Awards 2024. Louise brought along the trophy for all to celebrate this amazing achievement!
Louise and Tess secured funding for Project GARDEN through the Queen’s Nursing Institute which we successfully participated in and led to a love of gardening flourishing within the home. Louise and Tess kindly gifted some plants for our PWH Garden.
We are truly grateful to Louise and her team for their support, and we wish them all the best!
