Dying Matters Awareness Week – 14th to 20th May
Indeed, when it comes to talk about this sensitive matter, we often avoid it.
At Priscilla Wakefield House, during the awareness week we displayed at reception some leaflets with relevant information regarding this matter and we offered our family members, friends and visitors the opportunity to discuss advance care planning and funeral arrangements in a relaxed and supportive environment.
On the 17th May on Copperfield we hosted talks followed by questions and informal discussion.
A massive thank you to Helen McInnes, our Advance Care Planning Facilitator and Deborah Rush, Funeral Director from Leverton and Sons Ltd. for their willingness to share knowledge and experiences with our family members.
