Community Clean Up – 10 October 2018
We have recently started an initiative to improve the green space opposite our home. Working in partnership with the local Residents Association, we have invited our local community to get involved in a monthly cleanup and planting event. Our aim is to create an appealing and safe space for all to enjoy.
PWH strives to make a positive impact on the wider community as well as always looking for ways to enrich the lives of our residents, staff and visitors. On 10th of October 2018 we organised a clean up of the Rangemoor road open space which our home overlooks working in partnership with the local residents association. Veolia and Haringey council pledged their support to the initiative.
We were thrilled with the support we received from our staff and the local community. Everyone rolled up their sleeves and got to work united in the goal of transforming the space into an area where everyone can feel safe and enjoy the environment.
The day was the first step towards this, clearing rubbish and preparing the raised flower beds for planting. Going forward we will be working on the space on a monthly basis. We would welcome your support please contact the activities team if you would like to get involved.
Support from Magic life for supporting us by publicising the event was invaluable and greatly appreciated and a big THANK YOU to Ursula from The Flower Bank Hub https://www.spacehive.com/the-flower-bank for donating bulbs which will add a burst of colour to the flower beds.
PWH provided a wealth of refreshments at our Dickens cafe to keep everyone going for the last burst of activity gathering all of the rubbish and leaving the space looking great.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all who contributed to the success of the day. We all had a lot of fun while getting the job done!
Great to see the community in action working towards a common goal. Together we can make a difference!
We have an open door policy which means you are welcome to visit at anytime.
