Sunflower Sculpture – January 2025
Haringey Feast brought together Haringey’s creators, cultural organisations, and residents to celebrate everything creative our unique borough has to offer. On Sunday 19 November 2023, the community came together in the East Court at Alexandra Palace for a spectacular free celebration of Haringey’s creativity through music, performance, art, and food. Leading up to the day, free workshops led by local creatives were held across the borough – in schools, libraries, care homes, arts venues, community centres and more. Through these workshops, performances and creations including tablecloths, ceramic bowls, chairs, lino-printed tea towels, candles, soup recipes and more were created by local community groups and artists to be used at the Haringey Feast. These stunning creations live on in our communities as they have now been donated to local care homes, schools, libraries and other cultural venues in the borough! We were delighted to receive the Sunflower Sculpture created by our residents in workshops led by local artist Alina Gavrielatos which now has pride of place in our courtyard.
