Trip to Brent Cross Town Open Art Gallery – 31 July 2024
Located next to the Visitor Pavilion, and just a five-minute walk from the new Brent Cross West station, The Maze is a bright and brilliant art installation that invites visitors to immerse themselves in colours and forms inspired by the New London Fabulous movement. Throughout the summer, three talented women artists have been invited to add their own artworks to The Maze. Amara Por Dios created hers at the launch of The Maze, while renowned muralists Lois O’Hara painted live on Saturday 27th July, and Jo Hicks will be painting live on Saturday 10th August — visitors are welcome on these days to watch as these artworks come to life right before their eyes. We were excited to visit the vibrant and joyful artwork. After exploring the artwork, everyone enjoyed a tasty picnic lunch. Then there was plenty of time for more fun in the sun. We made some new friends who helped us cool down with their water pistols! Then it was time to relax with an ice cream before making our way home.
