Haringey CCG Activity Coordinators Forum
As a team we attend the quarterly Haringey Activities Coordinator forum led by Haringey CCG which has been very supportive in sharing relevant information, best practice, training and providing links with other organisations. The forum has now linked with Barnet CCG drawing together an even greater breadth of experience and knowledge.
Through this forum, we created Haringey Care Homes Quiz Bee – a monthly event hosted at different care homes. The Quiz Bee enables residents to socialise and interact in addition to providing cognitive stimulation. We also attend a Table Tennis Tournament hosted by the Meadow Care Home who have a dementia friendly table tennis table in situ. Engaging in this activity has a positive effect on the physical health and wellbeing of our residents and is also lots of fun!
