We are able to offer care to suit individual needs, long term care for those who need daily nursing perhaps due to age or an on-going medical condition; respite care to enable carers to take a much deserved break, and post operative care.
We aim to offer an exceptional level of dedicated personal and nursing care 24 hours a day. Being a small unit, residents and their families can really get to know the nurses who look after them and every resident has a tailored care plan to ensure they receive the individual attention and support required.
We aim to provide the best care, support and advice by working in partnership with our residents and their families to develop a plan of care which meets the needs of each individual. We work closely with other health care professionals including a local visiting GP, local pharmacy and other specialists to address each individual’s needs. We also work with the Haringey quality improvement team and integration team in meeting the needs of the individuals in our care.
We have a structured induction plan for all new starters and a training audit which includes support and training facilities for staff to complete their statutory and mandatory requirements. We also ensure that staff are given supervision on an individual one to one basis to maintain good standards of care.
On Copperfield we offer skilled care for those aged 55 and above that have a long term debilitating illness and general frailty. We also support individuals with PEG/NG. The unit has the ability to provide family focused palliative care and we are currently working towards an End of Life framework.
We provide training and supervision to our staff in maintaining good quality care for the individuals we look after.
We use a range of equipment to enable those with mobility problems to still participate in all activities and in maintaining their independence and facilitate choice.
We provide long and short term care including rehabilitation, post operative and palliative care and our staff are effectively trained to meeting such needs.

Our staff go the extra mile in meeting individuals cultural and diverse needs for example doing their hair, painting their nails and offering them culturally specific meals.
We operate a flexible approach in our services to referrals; we provide rapid response and will normally arrange a professional assessment within a few days of your call. We can accommodate short notice admissions but aim to ensure residents’ safety in the process.
