Schools, education and volunteers
We have worked hard to build positive links with local schools and colleges, from getting residents involved in art projects, to encouraging companionship and intergenerational friendships by hosting school visits. We regularly host work experience placements for school and college students, which we have found to be mutually beneficial enriching the lives of our residents and providing a valuable insight into working in a nursing home setting to the students. We also work in partnership with the National Citizen Service, Prince’s Trust, Learning & Participation Team at Alexandra Palace, Ambitious College and other local colleges to offer opportunities for volunteering.
We have an open door policy which means you are welcome to visit at anytime.
