Dining Around the World – Portuguese Night – 17 June 2019
Our Dining Around the World experience landed in Portugal this month. Our kitchen team prepared an authentic Portuguese feast comprising Kale Soup with Chorizo to start, followed by Portuguese Rojões – Pork, Codfish à Brás and Portuguese Chicken accompanied by Portuguese Carrot Rice and Serradura (Crushed Biscuit with Cream and Condensed Milk) for dessert. Traditional Portuguese music was played throughout. It was wonderful that our residents were joined by family members on this memorable evening. We were also delighted to be joined by a Portuguese speaking volunteer, with whom we were linked through our collaboration with The Bridge Renewal Trust.
